Mr. Magpie’s Mother’s Day Gift to me is a series of family portraits set in Central Park before we move to D.C. I am ecstatic — we have never gotten into the groove of having professional family portraits done, and I know I will forever treasure these images of us here in Manhattan, after muddling our way through a pandemic in Central Park’s embrace. I know I will want to display them in our future home and have already been eyeing a couple of pretty frames to showcase them and a couple of other recent favorite photos of my children in prominent places. Below, some gorgeous frames for favorite pictures. (All of these would make excellent gifts for loved ones, grandparents, teachers, caregivers, etc!)

What a sweet Mother’s Day gift! It definitely sounds like something you’ll always cherish, particularly once you move to DC. You’ve collected so many good frame options here, too! Bookmarking this for the future … thank you 🙂

Thank you, MK :). Yes, will hang onto these family portraits for YEARS to come 🙂
I like McGee & Co. frames. Great looking and well-priced.
Oo thanks for the tip, Heidi! xx
Love the frame roundup but more so love the opening image – I *just* found an almost identical antique wood table with the marble top + those exact gold drawer pulls. It too me several months of combing through antique stores in the area, online antique auction sites, facebook marketplace, etc. but I finally found the perfect fit at the antiques emporium space in Fredericksburg, MD (highly recommend for a day trip once you’re here – adorable little town!). It’s entirely at home now in the entryway of our little 1800s Cap Hill rowhome!
**agh – Frederick, MD, not Fredericksburg. Always confused the two.
No worries – I got you!
Oo how CHIC! What a great find! Thank you for the tip!!
